What We Offer

Five ways we help your property
without touching the walls

Each service addresses a specific layer of guest experience. Together they form a coherent approach to improvement that fits within the realities of running a small independent property.

Mystery Guest Audit

A trained evaluator stays at your property as an ordinary guest. They assess arrival experience, room presentation, breakfast quality, staff interactions and checkout. You receive a structured written report with specific, actionable observations — not vague scores.

Covers: check-in flow, room condition, communication tone, breakfast service, and departure impression.

Front Desk Communication Training

How your team speaks to guests shapes everything. We run practical sessions focused on greeting language, handling complaints with calm clarity, managing expectations at check-in, and the small phrases that leave guests feeling genuinely welcomed.

Delivered on-site or remotely. Adapted to Arabic-speaking teams working with international guests.

Room Staging & Photography Refresh

Photos on booking platforms determine first impressions before a guest ever arrives. We advise on how to arrange and present rooms using what you already have, then coordinate updated photography that reflects your property honestly and attractively.

No new furniture needed. We work with existing assets to create images that convert browsers into bookings.

Review Response Strategy

Your replies on TripAdvisor and Google are public-facing communications read by future guests. We build a response framework suited to your property's voice, covering how to handle criticism, acknowledge positive feedback, and maintain a consistent professional tone.

Includes response templates, tone guidelines, and a process for escalating recurring complaints internally.

Breakfast Menu Optimisation

Breakfast is often the most-mentioned meal in guest reviews — for better or worse. We analyse what guests have written about your breakfast across platforms, identify patterns, and advise on adjustments to offering, presentation and timing that address real feedback.

Based on actual guest review data. No guesswork, no generic hospitality checklists.

How We Work

Advisory, not operational

Slina is a consulting practice. We observe, assess, advise and train. We do not take over the running of your property, we do not manage your bookings, and we do not position ourselves between you and your guests.

The people who know your hotel best are the people who work there every day. Our role is to bring an outside perspective and practical experience to help them do what they already do — better.

We focus on three destinations because we know them well. Luxor's heritage tourism market, Aswan's slower-paced Nile travel scene, and Dahab's international diving and backpacker community each have different guest expectations. What works in one place needs adapting for another.

We advise on operations. We do not manage properties and we do not handle bookings.
How a Project Unfolds

From first contact to lasting improvement

01
Initial Consultation

Understanding your property

We start with a conversation — about your current situation, the guest feedback you have been receiving, the areas you find most challenging, and what a meaningful improvement would look like for your specific context.

02
Observation Phase

Seeing what guests see

Depending on the services selected, this phase includes the mystery guest stay, review analysis across platforms, and an assessment of your current photography and online presentation. We document everything systematically.

03
Report and Briefing

Clear findings, not vague feedback

You receive a written report covering what we found, what it means for guest experience, and what we suggest. We walk through it with you and your team so the findings translate into shared understanding rather than a document that sits unread.

04
Implementation Support

Training and practical guidance

Staff training sessions, room staging guidance and photography coordination happen in this phase. We work alongside your team rather than over them. The goal is that your people leave each session with something they can use the same day.

05
Follow-up Review

Checking what changed

We check back after a defined period to review guest feedback trends, assess how the changes have landed in practice, and identify any areas that need further attention. Improvement is a process, not a single event.

Service Approaches

Three ways to engage with Slina

Each approach is designed around a different starting point. Some properties need a comprehensive look at everything. Others have a specific challenge they want to address first.

Audit Focus

Ideal when you want an honest outside assessment before deciding what to change. We observe and report without prescribing action.

  • Mystery guest stay and evaluation
  • Detailed written audit report
  • Review analysis across platforms
  • Debrief session with your team
Suitable for: properties wanting clarity before committing to broader changes

Single Service

When you have identified a specific challenge and want focused expertise on that one area without a broader engagement.

  • Choose one service area
  • Focused delivery and reporting
  • Option to expand later
  • Practical handover documentation
Suitable for: properties with a clear, specific challenge to address

Where We Work

Three destinations, one focus

Luxor Temple at sunset with warm golden light reflecting on the Nile

Luxor

Egypt's open-air museum draws visitors who come for the temples and tombs of the ancient world. Guesthouses and small hotels here serve heritage travellers with high expectations for cultural sensitivity and local knowledge from their hosts.

Traditional felucca sailboat on the Nile at Aswan with green island in background

Aswan

Calmer and more unhurried than Luxor, Aswan attracts travellers who want a slower experience of Egypt. Independent properties here often have remarkable Nile views but benefit from guidance on how to communicate what makes them genuinely special.

Clear turquoise water at Dahab with coral reef visible and mountains in the background

Dahab

Dahab's character is unlike anywhere else in Egypt. The international diving community, long-term travellers and backpackers who stay here have very particular expectations around informality, value and authenticity. Getting the tone right matters enormously.
